Timini Egbuson
Timini Egbuson is a Nigerian actor, producer, and digital creator. With ten years in the game, he is popularly known for his role as Mohammed, on the hit web-series “Skinny Girl in Transit.” In addition to this, he has starred in feature films such as: Ajuwaya (2017), Isoken (2017), and Kamsi (2018).
Timini never fails to deliver high-quality performances, allowing him to gain the highest standard of recognition in the Nigerian Film Industry, including the, Future Awards where he won the prize for Acting in the year 2019. As well as, the “Best Actor in a Drama” Award at the AMVCAs in 2020.

You are an actor. Which actors both home and abroad inspires you the most?
I am inspired by all the greats who came before me, in Nigeria. People like Genevieve Nnaji, RMD, and Dakore Egbuson. Internationally, my role models include; Damson Idris, John Boyega, and Tom Holland.
As an actor, what is your perspective about the Nollywood industry?
The industry is far from where we started in terms of the super low-budget projects that were largely done through improvisation and for that it deserves its flowers. I believe our industry has the power and now the requisite structure to create compelling stories that are truly worthy and deserving of worldwide acclaim and screen time.
What role does Nigeria play within your creative process?
Nigeria will always play an important role in my process because first and foremost it will always be home. For me, the role my home plays in my creative process is the drive to be the best at what I do.
What legacy would you like to leave in the Nollywood industry?
To be the first homegrown actor to make an international crossover, as we have seen happen in the music industry. Also, taking the industry to the big leagues, having some of our favorites actors overseas work on films made by homegrown filmmakers and work with homegrown talent as well.
How do you see your career evolving in the next ten years?
Winning an Oscar, Emmy, and a Golden Globe for projects I have starred in, produced, or directed. Becoming one of the greatest filmmakers to ever grace the planet earth and to star in movies with directors like Steven Spielberg, Quentin Tarantino, Christopher Nolan and Spike Lee.
