Idia Aisien is a phenomenal Nigerian actress. She was one of the rising stars during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, she debuted playing the lead role of “Nneka” in the remake of the Nollywood classic. “Nneka the Pretty Serpent.” Idia also runs an impactful NGO, ‘The Idea Project’ she has represented many brands, including Remy Martin, Black Opal and BMW Nigeria.

What do you consider before deciding to take on a role as an actress?
“As an actress, I always want to be part of impactful stories. So, I consider if the proposed film aligns with mv goals and it has a relatable storyline.”
What is your current assessment of the Nollvwood – industry?
“Nollywood is currently one of the biggest movie industries in the world. Initially, this was about the number of films we produce, but now it’s more about the quality of our movies. We now have more fascinating storylines and better movie production.”
You recently collaborated with a fashion line, 4eva Young (4ey), by Uju Estello. Tell us more about your passion for the industry.
“Fashion is vital to me because it’s one of the ways that express myself. This is why I love being on the red carpet and nope to create seasonal collections.”
What advice do you have for young people looking to become a success in the film industry?
“I advise anyone looking to become successful in a film to get as much coaching as possible. Also. the more auditions you attend, the better you will be in acting.”
What legacy do you intend to leave in the film industry?
“I want to be remembered as a great Nigerian actress and producer. I also want people to remember the passion that I brought to every movie set.”
